Brothers... In dark times, we sometimes need a reminder of what we do and why we are here. I came across this video as some of you may have. This is why I love this club! The honor, dignity, and respect that we emulate for our brothers in arms is beyond reproach.

Oops. Sorry Westies. I tried to type Westside but as you see Southside came up. That's what happens when a person reads too many of NK Wolverine's posts. Delays the brain waves from the nerve trunks.

A hero is some one looked up to
Who others may love to be
A hero never loses hope
To be a hero means to be courageous
And willing to put their life aside for another person
... A hero is anybody or somebody that was loved
To be a hero, you must be honest
To be a hero, you do not need to be superhuman
If you are to be a hero, you must be able to help
A hero must lead by example.

A true hero in life is NK Sarge…
You will be missed my brother…
NK Gunner is there waiting for you...
We will see eachother again brother...
Rest my brother, for your watch is over...

Sarge lived the motto "Never Give Up", and fought to the very end. I am proud to have met him, proud to have known him, proud to have talked about common old times. Rest in peace now, my brother. To the Southside chapter, and all that knew Sarge, rejoice for him, for he is now at peace. Until we meet again... See you later Sarge.

Our condolences to the family of the man we all referred to as "Sarge". As a member of the Nam Knights Westside Chapter "NK Sarge" always made you feel proud to call him brother. His devotion to his country and his fellow man during a time of war speaks for the man that he was. Sarge your fight is over, we will never forget you. You were respected by everyone who knew you just by being yourself! "God Bless You" you will be missed.
